In detail
Meetings with engaged couples, in a calendar booked from one link.
An engaged couple writes in the evening or over the weekend, right after seeing your photos on social media, and wants to know when they can come and talk. Here is how to let couples book the first meeting themselves and keep the following months of meetings in order, without losing anyone in a chat thread.
The couple books the first meeting
Your list starts with a first meeting and a follow-up meeting, both one hour long; rename them to suit your process, add a venue visit or a vendor meeting and give each its own length. On the page, fill the gallery with setups you designed, add the studio address and links to your social profiles. The couple opens the link, picks the first meeting and a free time, and leaves a name and number; in the note they can mention the wedding date or the town where they hope to marry. No app to download.
Months of planning, one meeting at a time
From the link, couples can book within the next sixty days, and online each couple holds at most two active bookings: enough for the first steps, not for a year of planning. Meetings further ahead you add from the calendar at the end of each appointment, and the couple finds them all on their own page. If one of them has a last-minute problem, they ask from the page to move the meeting, at least two hours ahead, and you accept with one tap. For an evening when vendors can only come after dinner, add an extra slot outside opening hours.
Wedding days blocked in the calendar
On a wedding day you are at the venue from morning until late at night: block it in your calendar and nobody books a meeting that Saturday. Do the same for industry fairs and holidays. If you work with assistants, each has their own calendar, hours and meetings, up to 12 people in one account, with the permissions you choose. Couples who find a date full join the waiting list and get an alert if a time opens up, if they have notifications on. When the previous meeting runs over, mark the delay and the next couple sees it before leaving home.
Reminders for people with a thousand things on their minds
Between dresses, flowers and guest lists, forgetting a meeting is easy. Couples who turned notifications on get reminders automatically, by default the day before and two hours before, and can tap “I’ll be there” to confirm. For those who did not, send one on WhatsApp with one tap, from the studio number, with the message already written. The address book keeps each couple’s name, phone, meeting history and text notes, such as the wedding date; quotes, contracts and seating charts stay in the tools you use today, because the app does not store files or send documents.
