A recording studio clients can book without pulling you off the console.

When you’re behind the glass with headphones on you can’t answer someone calling to set up a session, and the messages pile up until evening. With a link the studio books itself, room by room and with its own lengths, and you glance at the calendar between takes.

Control room, live room, vocal booth

Every room you rent is a space with a name and a photo: the big control room with the analog desk, the live room where the drums live, the vocal booth for singers and voice actors. For each one you set up to four session lengths, each with its own price, with four hours as the longest. Whoever books looks at the photos, picks the room and then how much time they need; the times offered are only those where the whole session finds the room free. Up to 12 spaces in one account.

You book the room, not the engineer

In this kind of business the bookable thing is the space: the app doesn’t attach a person to the session. If the engineer is always the same, nothing changes; if there are several of you, write in the booking note who runs it, and whoever helps out in the studio joins as a collaborator with the permissions you choose. A long mixing day is split into two sessions you add yourself from the calendar, back to back, and whoever booked finds both on their page.

The artist, the producer, the session player

A session rarely involves just one person. Whoever books taps “Share with who’s coming” and sends the producer and the musicians the message with studio, day and time; each of them writes their name in the “Who’s coming” list, and nobody sees the others’ phone numbers. So on recording morning you already know who should show up. If the session before runs long for one last take, mark the delay with a tap: whoever is next and has notifications on learns that the room frees up later, before loading gear into the car.

Reminders, cancellations and no payments

The reminder arrives as a notification for people who turned them on, by default twenty-four and two hours before; for everyone else you send it on WhatsApp with one tap, from the studio number. For long sessions a cancellation limit makes sense: you choose how many hours before people can cancel from their phone, up to forty-eight. Mark whoever doesn’t show up, and from then on their bookings wait for your approval. The app takes no advances or payments: quotes and balances stay where you handle them, outside SeeYouNext.

What you’re wondering.

Can I rent the control room by the hour and by the half day?

Yes, up to four hours: give the space several lengths, each with its price, and whoever books picks how much time they need. For longer work you add two sessions back to back from the calendar.

Can clients pay for the session online?

No: SeeYouNext doesn’t take payments, neither advances nor balances. If you show prices, clients know the cost before they come in.

We work late: can people book at night?

Yes, if you open those hours: closing time can run past midnight, and a session is only offered if it ends by closing.

Does whoever opens the shared link see other people’s details?

They see studio, day, time and the names on the “Who’s coming” list. Phone numbers and surnames don’t appear.

Do my clients have to download an app?

No: they open your link and book. Regulars can install your business’s app, with your logo, straight from your page, on Android and iPhone. If they turn on notifications, that’s where reminders and alerts arrive.

What does it mean that SeeYouNext is in beta?

The features on this page are already there and you use them from day one, but we’re still polishing the app together with the people who use it: if something isn’t right, write to feedback@seeyounext.it.
