In detail
A jewelry workshop with visits by appointment, booked from one link.
A jeweler works with busy hands: torch lit, file in hand, loupe in the eye. Every time the bell rings for a ring size or a question about a restoration, the piece cools on the bench. Here is how you let people in when you are ready for them and keep your working hours whole.
Ring sizing and consultation
The starting list has a fifteen minute ring sizing and a thirty minute consultation. Shape them to your work: designing a custom wedding band, assessing a piece to restore, dropping off a necklace to shorten, engraving. Each item has its length, and anyone booking only sees slots where it fits. For an engagement ring, the person booking can write their idea, the stone or the budget in the note to the business, and the surprise stays safe because only you read the note.
The piece stays at the bench
A chain to solder or a ring to resize is left in the workshop: the appointment books the drop-off, not the hours of work that follow. When the piece is ready the app does not tell the client by itself: you call, or set a pickup time with a short item, and the reminder reaches them like any appointment. In the contact list you keep practical notes, like a finger size written out in words; photos of pieces and quotes cannot be uploaded.
The weeks before Christmas and Valentine’s Day
In December and February everyone wants an engraving or a last minute sizing. Stretch your hours only in those weeks, close Mondays if that is your bench day, set holidays once and nobody books over them. When an afternoon is full, people looking for it join the waiting list and hear when a time frees up. Mark anyone who books and never shows, and their next requests wait for your approval. The link takes bookings within the next sixty days, with at most two open appointments per person.
Reminders, staff and your showcase
Clients who turned on notifications get the reminder on their own, by default the day before and two hours before; for the others there is WhatsApp, one tap and a ready message goes out from the workshop number. If several of you work there, goldsmith, stone setter, whoever runs the shop floor, each has a diary and services, up to 12 people. Put photos of your pieces in your page gallery, and prices stay hidden until you decide to show them.
