In detail
A dog sitter who plans the rounds without living on WhatsApp.
Dog sitting means a day spent outdoors: leashes in your pocket, keys to three different houses, a park loop squeezed between two visits. Requests come in at all hours, often while two dogs are pulling you along. With a link, owners book on their own in the hours you opened, and you check the diary only when you stop.
Walk, long walk, home visit
The starting list has three items: a thirty minute walk, an hour long walk and a thirty minute home visit, the one where you feed, refresh the water bowl and let the dog out in the yard. You change the lengths and add what you really do: group outing by the river, evening cat visit, meals for an older dog. From the link owners only see the blocks you opened, so if mornings are for long walks and afternoons for visits, you decide that hour by hour.
Addresses go in the notes
The app is built for businesses that welcome clients at their own place: it does not work out travel time between houses and has no dedicated field for a client address. Two simple fixes cover it. In your contacts, the text notes hold street, buzzer, where the keys are kept and the dog’s name; owners booking from the link can type their address in the note for the business. For getting around, you leave the buffer yourself by blocking the half hour you need to cross the neighborhood.
Busy weeks and quiet weeks
Mid-August and the Christmas break are when everyone leaves town and looks for you at once. Open the slots you can actually cover and block the rest: nobody books over a day you closed. If you work with a partner, each of you gets a diary and hours, up to 12 people, and owners choose who takes the dog out. When someone asks for a time outside your usual grid, add it as an extra slot, even by voice while you walk.
Updates from the sidewalk
If the walk before runs long because the Labrador refuses to leave the water, flag the delay with one tap and the next owner sees the new time on their page, no phone calls needed. Reminders arrive as notifications to anyone who turned them on, by default the day before and two hours before; for everyone else there is WhatsApp, with the message ready to go from your own number. From the link each owner holds at most two active bookings, so for clients who leave the dog with you all week, you fill in the rest from the diary.
