In detail
An auto electrician with diagnostics in line and AC recharges booked before the heat.
People come to an auto electrician with a warning light on the dashboard, a battery that will not hold, or an air conditioner blowing lukewarm air in June. These are jobs you cannot size until the scanner is plugged in. Here is how a booking app helps you give a time without promising too much.
Diagnostics first, then the job
Your price list starts with diagnostics for forty-five minutes and air conditioning for an hour. Diagnostics is the front door: the customer books it from the link, you plug into the control unit and find out what is going on. If the fault needs a long repair, you book the second appointment yourself from the schedule, once you know how long it takes and whether the part has arrived. Add the jobs you do most, such as battery replacement, stereo installs, backup cameras or headlights, each with its own length, and the calendar never puts two where only one fits.
The warning light, described before they arrive
In the booking note the customer can write what they see: “yellow engine light since yesterday”, “the AC makes a noise”, “the car will not start in the cold”. You start the job already knowing where to look. Make, model and year are not booking questions: you note them in the customer notes in your contacts the first time, and they stay there for later visits along with the appointment history. You can also import the contacts already on your phone, with no retyping one by one.
AC season
With the first hot days everyone notices their air conditioning is not cooling, and recharge requests arrive all at once. Put the link on your Google profile, with its Book button, and in the page notice say when you start doing recharges: anyone looking for an auto electrician nearby books directly, without calling while you are under a dismantled dashboard. When the days are full, those left out join the waitlist and get a notice if someone drops out. The app does not invite people back for next year’s recharge on its own: you book that if you want.
When a wiring harness costs you an hour
A broken wire behind the dashboard can take far longer than planned. Mark the delay with one tap and the next customer sees the new time before getting in the car; anyone without notifications gets it on WhatsApp, already written, from your business number. If several of you work there, each person has a schedule with the jobs they know, up to 12 people. Notification reminders go out the day before and two hours before, only to those who turned them on. And if a customer skips without warning, mark it, and next time you decide whether to accept them.
