In detail

A computer repair shop with drop-offs spread across the day.

People who bring in a computer rarely know what is wrong: it is slow, it shuts down, it cannot see the printer. You need fifteen minutes just to figure it out, while another laptop waits on the bench with its fan exposed. Here is how you sort drop-offs, diagnostics and long jobs.

Diagnose first, then fix

The starting list has two items: a thirty minute diagnostic and a one hour service job. Split them the way you work: cleaning and thermal paste, operating system install, drive replacement with data transfer, small office network setup. Each item has its own length and people booking only see slots where it fits. In the note to the business the client describes the problem in their own words, says whether it is a laptop or a desktop and whether there is a backup, so you know where to start before they walk in.

The computer stays, the appointment does not

A computer often stays in the shop for a day or two. The appointment books the drop-off and first check, not the hours you spend reinstalling. When the job is done the app does not tell the client on its own: you call, or set a pickup time with a short item and the reminder goes out like any other. In the client notes you keep practical details for next time, such as the company name or when they answer the phone; passwords and private data stay out.

Offices, households and after-hours visits

Businesses want you before they open or after they close, households come on Saturday. Open the hours you need, close the ones you spend on site, block trade show days. If an office needs you at a time you have not opened, they send a request for an extra appointment from your page and you decide. Online each client holds at most two open appointments, within the next sixty days; for an office with ten workstations to fix, you set the dates in the diary yourself.

Technicians, delays and notifications

Each technician has a diary and only the services they cover, up to 12 people: whoever does networks never gets graphics card jobs. If a data recovery runs long, mark the delay and the next client sees the updated time before leaving home. Clients who turned on notifications get the reminder by themselves, by default the day before and two hours before; for the rest you send it on WhatsApp with one tap, from the shop number, text ready to go. Mark a no-show, and their later requests wait for your approval.

Pricing

A fixed price. Today it’s free.

Zero commissions on what you earn: you pay a fixed price for your team size, which doesn’t go up with each extra person and doesn’t depend on how many clients you see.

What you’re wondering.

Can clients describe the fault when they book?

Yes, in the note to the business. There are no fixed questions like brand or operating system: it is free text you read before they arrive.

Can I store client passwords in the contact list?

Please do not: the contact list is meant for name, phone and practical notes. Keep credentials and private data elsewhere.

Does it work for on-site business visits?

You can put them in the diary like any appointment and write the address in the notes. Travel time between clients is not calculated yet.

Will clients know when the computer is ready?

Not through an automatic alert, which does not exist yet. Book a pickup appointment so the reminder reaches them, or call.

Do my clients have to download an app?

No: they open your link and book. Regulars can install your business’s app, with your logo, straight from your page, on Android and iPhone. If they turn on notifications, that’s where reminders and alerts arrive.

What does it mean that SeeYouNext is in beta?

The features on this page are already there and you use them from day one, but we’re still polishing the app together with the people who use it: if something isn’t right, write to feedback@seeyounext.it. Meanwhile it’s free, payments aren’t switched on. When the beta ends, if you start now you pay €12 per month, VAT included, locked in forever, whatever the number of people who work with you.
