In detail
Boat trips bookable from the pier or from home.
On the pier in summer everyone asks the same thing: what time do we leave and is there still room? At the helm you cannot answer, and in the evening twenty messages are waiting. Here is how you put your trips online, from the coastal cruise to the sunset, and what the app does not do today.
The coastal cruise and the sunset
The starting list has “Tour” at two hours and “Sunset cruise” at ninety minutes. Swap in the real names, “Caves and coves” or “Sunset aperitif”, add the half day or the snorkeling trip, and pick the length of each. Whoever opens the link chooses a trip and only sees departures still free. If the August sunset costs more than the mid-morning run, add a price band for those hours; amounts only show if you switch them on.
One boat, one group
Today each booking is a whole group, like a private trip with a skipper: a family, friends, a honeymoon couple. The app does not sell single seats on board and does not ask how many people will step aboard, so it is not built for filling a large ferry with strangers; the booker can write the number in the note for the business. If you have several skippers, each gets a diary and the trips they run, up to 12 people: at the same hour several groups can leave, one per skipper.
Rough sea and closed days
You watch the forecast: the app does not read the weather and cancels nothing on its own. If the sea is too rough, close the day in the diary so nobody else books from the link, and reach whoever had already booked with WhatsApp or a phone call, straight from the booking. In the mid-August weeks, sunset departures go fast: whoever finds the hour taken joins the waiting list and, with notifications on, gets an alert when a group drops out. You pick the online cancellation window, from zero to forty-eight hours, and in high season you can raise it.
At the pier on time
People on holiday lose track of the clock. The notification reminder reaches those who turned it on, the day before and two hours before unless you change it; for anyone without notifications you send a ready WhatsApp with one tap, from your business number. The boarding point goes in the notice at the top of the page, and the pier address opens the map. If the trip before comes back late, mark the delay and the next group sees the new departure time. Mark anyone who never makes it to the pier, and their next bookings wait for you to accept them. The trip is paid on board or at the kiosk, as today.
