In detail
Braids and natural hair: long sessions, written into the calendar.
Box braids, knotless, cornrows, twists: if you braid, you know one head can take a whole afternoon and Saturdays are gone weeks in advance. Here is how to let clients book from their phones without two long jobs landing on top of each other, or people vanishing at the last minute.
Every style with its own time
Start from three items: a fifteen-minute consultation, braids at two hours, box braids at four. Add the styles you do, cornrows, knotless, twists, faux locs, each with its real duration; the same braid can have a medium and a long version with different timing. When someone books box braids, the calendar keeps all four hours free and nobody online finds room in the middle. Clients only see start times where the job finishes before you close.
What to know before coming in
Your page carries a notice everyone sees: whether clients bring their own braiding hair or you supply it, how to arrive with hair washed and detangled, how much time to keep free. The gallery shows photos of your finished work, so people pick a style by looking at your hands rather than a random profile. Prices show only if you want them to: they often vary with length and thickness, and you settle them at the consultation.
Full Saturdays and people waiting for a spot
When every Saturday is taken, whoever wants in joins the waitlist and gets an alert if something opens. Online each client can hold at most two active bookings; if someone wants more dates, you add them from your calendar. If several of you braid, each has her own calendar and styles, up to 12 people in one account, and clients choose who. Someone who calls while your hands are in a client’s hair goes on the calendar later, by dictating name, day and service out loud.
Four hours you can’t afford to lose
A client who doesn’t come costs you the afternoon. Anyone with notifications on gets reminded on her own, by default a day before and two hours before, and answers “I’ll be there”; for those without, one tap sends a ready-made WhatsApp from the salon’s number. You can stop cancellations from the link close to the appointment, up to forty-eight hours before. No-shows get marked, and their next requests wait for your go-ahead. If braiding takes longer than planned, you warn whoever comes next.
