In detail
A vet clinic where visits line up, not pet owners.
The waiting room of a vet clinic is a tense place: a nervous dog, a cat in a carrier, a rabbit shaking in someone’s lap. The longer they sit together, the worse it gets for everyone. A diary that owners can book from their phone spreads arrivals across the day and leaves the clinic phone free for real emergencies.
Visits, vaccinations, check-ups
The starting price list has three items: a thirty minute visit, a fifteen minute vaccination and a fifteen minute check-up. Owners choose an item and only see slots where it fits, so a full visit never lands in a quarter hour gap between two shots. Shape the items around how you work: ultrasound, puppy visit, stitch removal, behavior consult. If an exam has to be discussed first, say so in the notice at the top of your page and book it yourself from the diary after the call: every active item stays bookable from the link.
Several vets, each with their own hours
Each vet gets a diary with clinic days, surgery mornings blocked out and only the items they perform. Owners pick who they want to see or take the first free slot. One account holds up to 12 people, and whoever runs the front desk can have their own access with the permissions you set. When an emergency comes in and times start slipping, flag the delay with one tap: the next owners see it on their page instead of sitting an hour in the waiting room with a dog on a leash.
Owner in the diary, pet in the notes
Bookings are made out to the owner, name and phone number. The app keeps no medical records, diagnoses, treatments or health booklets, and it should not: your practice software already does that. In your contacts you can write practical notes, such as the pet’s name, that it comes in a carrier or that it is better brought straight in rather than left waiting. Owners booking from the link can leave a note for the business, for instance that the cat is the second one at home and two visits are needed.
Reminders and cancellations
Reminders reach owners who switched on notifications, by default the day before and two hours before. For those who did not, you send one over WhatsApp with a single tap, already written and coming from the clinic number, or you simply call. How late owners can cancel from their phone is up to you, anywhere from zero to forty-eight hours. When a visit opens up, people on the waitlist get an alert. Vaccine boosters are not tracked automatically: at the end of a visit you put the next appointment in the diary yourself, and the owner finds it on their page.
