In detail
A law office where clients book consultations from one link.
A lawyer spends half the week away from the office: hearings, court registries, filing offices. Meanwhile the phone keeps ringing and whoever needs advice has no idea when to call back. Here is how you line up consultations without turning your assistant into a switchboard, and without the reason for a meeting traveling where it should not.
First consultation and follow-up meetings
The starting list has two items: a one hour first consultation and a thirty minute consultation. New clients pick an item and only see the times when it really fits, so a long first meeting is never squeezed between two short ones. You can rename items and change their length whenever you like, but keep the names generic: «Consultation» works, «Divorce» or «Debt recovery» does not, because the item name appears in the confirmation and in the message the client receives. In the notice at the top of your page, ask people to bring letters and papers they have already received, so the first meeting is not wasted.
Mornings in court
You know your hearings weeks ahead: mark them as blocks and nobody books those hours. When the court list drags on and you get back late, open the afternoon appointment and send a delay alert with one tap: the client due at three sees the new time, and everyone after shifts along in turn. If you finish early, you can move people forward instead. Summer recess and long weekends are closed once. When a client cancels, anyone on the waiting list for that day hears that the slot has opened up.
Confidentiality first
A name and a phone number are all it takes to book; there is no field for the reason behind the meeting, and none is needed. Client notes are plain text and meant for practical details, such as the hours someone answers or which colleague handles them, never the facts of a case: files and pleadings stay in your practice software. The notification reminder, for clients who turned notifications on, arrives the day before and two hours before and shows the day, the time and the firm name. If someone misses a meeting without warning, mark it and their next requests wait for your approval.
Partners, trainees and front desk
In a shared practice every lawyer has their own diary and items, up to 12 people in one account. Invite your assistant with a link and grant only what is needed: adding appointments, moving them, answering requests. A caller goes into the diary in a few seconds, even by voice between two hearings. Anyone who prefers a text gets the WhatsApp reminder from the firm number, already written, with one tap. Fees stay outside: SeeYouNext takes no payments and issues no invoices.
